A Tasteful Hue: Marsala!

Drop everything! (drumroll please...) Pantone's color of the year goes to #Marsala. It's on everyone's radar now. When I heard that Marsala is Pantone's pick as Color of the Year, I couldn't  be more thrilled  as this shade has been a favorite among the stylish set. Many shades of  mid-tone red showing up in magazines, stores, and on stylish celebs.

It's Christmas!

Oh! how time flies so fast. It's the time of the year again. (Fa La la la la la). So happy for this year's Christmas! Christmas is indeed merry and jolly for me and my family. Papa is finally home after how many years of  not spending holiday festivities in Ph with us. At last we're  complete for Noche Buena and on New Year's Eve!

Blackaholism

In fashion, black is still the new black. It never gets old and it will never go out of style.  Trends are the sort of thing that come and go, we all know that but the old black is still very much with us. Fashion sea of trends may have brightened up a bit, colour blocking or floral prints floating by on the surface current but underneath is a darker tide that pulls us back towards black. If you want to remain forever in vogue, you need to wear  lots of black.55% of my wardrobe is Black.  Black is so addictive! I tried Head-to-toe-black ensemble and I died. I so loveeeeeeet!  Wearing black and darker colors is an urban uniform. No wonder why IG people are so Blackaholic.

Warm&Fuzzy

Cozy, comfy and cool!  What else could I say? I run outta words! I'm head over heels in love with this fuzzy sweater. It's insanely soft and fluffy, It's so fluffy I'm gonna die. (insert Agnes here. Haha). This fuzzy sweater will definitely turn heads. I'm wearing a white one from H&M and it's unbelievably cozy. I don't think I will ever get tired and get sick of fuzzy sweaters, especially around the holidays. Perfect for a night out to the movies or catchin' up with Ze girlfriends or any gatherings lined up for the season of love and catchin' up.

Sweater  is a classic piece you should have in your wardrobe. Fuzzy warm, adaptable, and adds fun, textural element to any outfit, in other words: they're irresistible. It's full of surprises.  I decided to pair it with a high waist jeggings. It's a no-fail style combination.

Black is Back

But I found some time to make a new outfit post. Yey! Finally. Cold and wet season is here. It's that time once again when our heart turns to the undeniable infinite love of sweaters. 12 days before Christmas (Ho!Ho!Ho! ~Santa!) and it's getting cold. Oh! thanks to that! I have a glorious excuse wearing plush over-sized sweater.

There's nothing like a good over-sized sweater for those cold mornings and evenings of December. For this ensemble, I paired up my favorite sweater to a pleated leather skirt. I decided to go for black pieces to give a little of edgy and gothic twist. I dunno why I've a soft spot for black lately,  black top, bottoms, bags, EVERYTHING black.

#AIESECGlobalRunway

DYINGGGGGGGGGGG! I'm so incredibly happy  and thrilled to announce that I'm part of AIESEC Global Runway with guest celebrity  stylist Kaye Awatin of thestyleflux.blogspot.com/ and guest celebrity model Katarina Rodriguez, finalist of Asia's Next Top Model.

When I posted this ad on Facebook, a friend of mine asked me if  I'm going to walk the runway. No! No! I'm not a model here. (How I wish, I am!hahaha) I won't walk, but my task is a lot more exciting and fun than gracing the runway. This time I'll be working behind the scene and I know that it will be a load of fun. I'll be one of the wardrobe stylists for the show! Wooohooooooo! It was a dream come true! I'm so thankful and honoured to have this opportunity. Ahhhhh! I' ll also be working with Bryan Sochayseng my co-stylist. We're both excited for the big event! First timer, alert.

What I Wore: Fashion Week

Well, fashion week just flew by. What had happened was simply one of a kind experience for me. I can't get over. The glitz and glamour, me being surrounded with beautiful and fashionable crowd was simply amazing. It's the most exciting point in my fashion diary. But there's one question circling around my mind before the big day: "WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR??" "WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR??" "WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR??"!!! haha! Seriously! I was in a greater degree of panic than usual because in this event, what you wear really matters.

Newbie to #F21xPhFw

I attended my first ever "legit" fashion show a week ago. My first, but definitely not my last.  I've been waiting for this all my life. I have been in love in  fashion for as long as I can remember and to see a fashion show, to see it LIVE is one of my greatest dream. Who wouldn't love and dream about it if you're a fashion enthusiast? right?

Ph Fashion week is the country's biggest bi-annual fashion event. It is when all  trendsetters redefines what it means to be fashionable. All lovely and fashionable head turner ladies and gents gathered in one event to heads up  on  the trends they will score and strut on the next season.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Forever21 show  was amazing. It was a great experience to see it live. They did a good job for the comeback on PhFweek's runway.  They showcased four  different trends of clothing: Modern Monochrome, New Bohemian, University Chic and Brit Street!

Why you gotta be so rude?

What are you going to do if someone tells you: "You're still pretty but you look stupid! Stay away from losers?"-Unknown

Me:     I did the right choice then..

If only I knew where you at. I'd rush over you and punch you in the face. Seriously. I would punch you in the face and get  some ice cream.
or
I'd just punch you accidentally but on purpose.

Why you gotta be so rude?????-Magic

Just a little bit of *BANG*

Aaaaand I'm back with a bang. (Kiddin) I'm so back with a new blog! Been so lazy these past few weeks. I've been quite busy juggling part time study with full time work. Few  more weeks to go and this semester will be over. Yey! Can't believe time flies so fast and just  two weeks from now September is over. I can't believe that it flown just like that. October is fast approaching  Thirdie and I been waiting for it every year. But this year will be so special we'll be celebrating our 3rd year anniversary being a "magjowa".  3 years but I feel like it was just yesterday, tho. (haha!) Nuuux!

The weeklong celebration of student's week started last Tuesday.  For me it will be just like an ordinary week in the university. But there's something I like about it. Student who aren't so active in participating in some scheduled events/programs (I'm referring to my self, tho) can just celebrate by strutting their OOTD's for a week.

I fancied wearing a casual and carefree look, opting for my jersey like top. I rocked my white canvas shoes and my forever 21 pencil skirt.

I added a bit of bang with my dad's old school Ray ban aviator that's older than me. My was so maporma when he was young too. Like daughter, like fathers! Woops! Like father, like daughter. Hahaha

Schizophrenic Weather Getup

Most of  us hates how unpredictable weather swings from June to October. It's so schizophrenic. We experience wet and stormy to bright and sunny, all within same 24 hrs. This kind of day definitely makes us too lazy to get dressed. If we could only throw our pj's and over-sized shirts or wear anything without mix and matching. haha! That kind of laziness. (sobrang nakakatamad.laziness overrrrload) But there's always a style saver. Punch and give a nice kick that crazy weather by  pulling off  your double duty ensembles.

Here's mine: Denim Jacket with detachable sleeves + Leather skirt. Cozy combo that you can wear for days with both wet and sunny weather.

I scored this denim jacket with detachable sleeves for only 300 php. What a steal for a double purpose go-to jacket. Yaaaay! Perfect for a schizophrenic weather.  It's too obvious that I'm crazily obsessed with denim(s). From jackets to shorts and even to denim shoes, like what I'm wearing here. (such a Denim maniac. ayt?) Hahaha  I dunno why, but denim is so me. Comfortable, pretty simple and easy. It blends and match in any ensemble that I'll pull off. It's so classic but still trendy.

Bright seashell on the hall

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

As lazy summer days come to an end and studious new beginnings await, now is the time to gear up and revamp our *Back-to-school* wardrobe.  Hide your summer staples for the meanwhile and bring out your laid-back yet stylish and law-abiding pieces for school dress code. Looking stylish but still meet the pesky school dress code is not a problem at all. ( Remember, compliance is a must. Right?) You can still rock the fashion boat with your school-appropriate outfits.

The printed shirt and brightly hued jeggings encapsulates my idealized version of Summer paradise. It inspires images of fun-filled summer, seaside and lazing on a sunny days. Let my shirt speak my mind=Sea, shell, shore. Oh take me back to the beach!  Take me to the seaside. T.T
I let my inner *summer kind of girl* shine through without sacrificing my I.D (If you get what I mean. haha!)
My shirt reminds me of the tongue twisted:

She  sells  seashells, By the seashore.
The shells  she  sells, Are surely seashells.
So if she  sells  shells, On the seashore,
I'm sure she  sells, Seashore  shells.

(Got my tongue twisted here. hahaha)

TIPS:
1. Soft jeans, or an even softer tee, will have you stylishly roaming the halls.
2. Splashing some hue is not a bad idea at all.
3. Finding the right footwear is must.
4. Back to basic and do some uber stylish twist.

My ensembles:
Over sized shirt- Thrifted
Valentino inspired studded sandals-Thrifted

Review: Avon Ceramic Tourmaline Electric Hair Curler

(My first attempt to write a review blog . Please bear with me. )
Price: P879.00
Where to buy: Available via your trusted Avon Lady

I recently just bought a new curling iron . It’s the Avon Ceramic Tourmaline Electric Hair Curler. When I first saw it in the brochure there’s a big question that popped into my head: “WHAT IS TOURMALINE? /too r-muh-lin, -leen/ ." Tourmaline gems is a semi-precious mineral stone well known for its incredible ability to aid in the detoxification process of the human body. It is one of only a handful of minerals that have the ability to emit negative ions and far-infrared rays.  Ceramic and tourmaline technology leave hair smooth, shiny and full of bounce and avoid hair damages. (yea! Perfect for damaged hair. haha) It works pretty good, and it only takes me a very short amount of time to get big loose curls.

  Specs: On/Off switch with LED light indication, 220V, 335mm L x34mm W

One of the most important features of this curler is its On/Off switch because it allows you to stop the device quickly once it turns very hot.  It is not like the usual curler  without a switch that you will pull the cord out of the electric socket just to unplug. The switch will do it for you. (wow!)

--------------------------

It's the moment of truth. Let's see what this curling iron can do.
After curling the hair out and away from my face, all the way up to the root and holding up to 10-15 sec. Here's the result:

Ta-da!!!!!!

I love it. It works really well. It gives soft and sexy waves.

{I'm totally in love with it, I recommend purchasing it}

If you're looking for an an affordable curling iron that won't break or break your bank Avon Ceramic Tourmaline Electric Hair Curler is the best for you. For all the thrift  savvy out there who wants to have decent electric hair tools visit the Avon outlet near you or look for a trusted Avon lady.

Sweet Sunshiny Escape

What summer means to me… Well, it’s hard to say. It’s hard to think about it when there’s so much to say.  Summer means, making memories and soaking up every sunshiny moment.  It is the time of the year perfect for lazing around, getting a tan or visiting places without worrying for turbulent seas or crazy weather. It is the ultimate time for bonding and relaxation. In short, summer is fun and just having plain fun!

Summer is the best time to be playful and be adventurous with your outfits. Colorful bikinis and playful prints were staples. Here's an outfit I wore to the beach last weekend.

Beating the scorching heat with my palm Bikini.

Here's my sissy sporting her Bikini and my mullet skirt. Matchy-matchy ensemble.

My girl sporting her bandeau and skirt. Simply stylish!

Girls of the same style walk the beach runway together.

Of course I had to take a picture of our hunky photographer…

Beat the heat

Sun is shining bright. The long wait to hit the beach is over. After almost a year of  craving for the smell of the warm sea breeze, sound of crashing waves and the soft sand. Ahhhhh! Finally!!! I was so eager for this long awaited summer mini vacay to begin (longing to be in relaxation mode).  Finally it came. Two days ago I were in a place where I called home. The beach/Sea. I'm definitely a beach babe. There's something in it that I can't resist.

Summer is the best time to be adventurous with your outfits! You can wear whatever you want as long as you're comfortable wearing it. I love dressing up in Summer because there's no restrictions with colors and prints. The brighter and the louder ensembles, the better.

I paired up my neon green bandeau with a high waist denim shorts. Denim shorts are a go-to piece that's perfect to wear in Summer, they are a no-brainer! They're just as versatile as pants but with a more relaxed, summer feel. Whether you pair them with a lightweight crop top or a fringe bandeau, it won’t let you down.

Summer is the perfect time to bring out all your hats. It shields our face from the harmful UV rays but it can also instantly up the ante of your summer attire.

Last but not the least, my favorite piece the heart shaped sunnies. Every style setter must have  an eye-catchingly and unique pair of sunnies.

Floppy Hat-Divi| Heart Shape Sunnies-Divi| Neon Bandeau-Divi| Highwaist Denim-Thrifted| Flats-Sm Solemate
I am a huge fan and supporter of shopping local. I love stores that offers affordable yet unique and hard to find pieces.

Summer getaway won't be complete without my favorite buddies in life.

Oh t'was for the sake of a good creative photo. Haha (so let's define effort! )

 Happy Summer Everyone!

Stay tuned for more.

Thanks for dropping by.
