Drop everything! (drumroll please...) Pantone's color of the year goes to #Marsala. It's on everyone's radar now. When I heard that Marsala is Pantone's pick as Color of the Year, I couldn't be more thrilled as this shade has been a favorite among the stylish set. Many shades of mid-tone red showing up in magazines, stores, and on stylish celebs.

I guess I was really on top of trends when I blogged about oxblood just a week ago, since oxblood/burgundy is a similar color with a similar origin (although oxblood/burgundy is a purer—and prettier(for me)– darker red which lacks the earthy brown notes of Marsala).
Marsala is a vivid hue. If you want a glamorous effect on your ensemble just add Marsala. It accentuate different colors and draws attention to other things you might not even notice. Pantone's top hue is a complete departure from the brightness of past years’ picks.
Lovely ladies let's rock shades of natural earthiness! Let's always feel an affinity for warm and rich wine colored hues. Bright colors are so yesterday, hello Marsala!
