Sail with me

Ahoy, There! Summer is just around the corner. I'm a summer kind of girl. I crave for  the smell of the warm sea breeze, the sound of crashing waves and the soft sand, squishing it between my toes. My body is here but my mind is at the beach. T.T
I can't wait for the summer 2014 to officially start. Ahhhhhhhh!

Trends come and go but if there was one trend that isn't being left high and dry, it’s nautical fashion. We all know it’s been around forever. It seems to make a comeback every summer — with no plans of going out of style. It never goes out of fashion and you will notice it everywhere around you.

For my nautical ensemble, I paired up my collared anchor top with a baggy and slouchy trouser. I enjoy comfort, but not willing to sacrifice style. If you're like me, baggy fashions are for us. Relaxed fashion includes slouchy garments and over-sized apparels. They are made for  functionality and style. You can wear it in any season and occasion of the year. You'll never go wrong if you'll match up nautical and relaxed/baggy fashion. It's a perfect combo for summer.

I slipped into some heels to elongate my legs, which will add length to balance out the width of my baggy or slouchy pants. I tried chunky heels with my trouser and it worked well.

I finished off my ensemble by adding this over-sized envelope clutch.

Create your perfect summer seaside look. Here are some 'ideas' for a  nautical ensemble.

Ahooooy!
Let your fine fashion sense set sail!

I've been blessed to have another talented photographer friend. Kuya Caoly is an overseas worker in middle east like my dad. He's working as a multimedia artist. He's the one who made my bstyled logo.

Whoooo! After three years our dream shoot together finally came true.
Thank you kuya Cao from the bottom of my style! Bon voyage. Godbless your trip on Friday! See you next year. More shoots to come. ;)

You got swag!

What we wear and how we wear it is a way to express our  individuality,to show the world who we are. It  mirrors our personality and thoughts.

I love having a good time and being carefree in terms of my style. I'm not afraid to break the rules and forget about the style formulas. As long as I'm comfortable wearing it, and my confidence is with me, I'll rock and own every style that I plunge in.

"You got swag"

Look hippy and sporty yet polished with one combo I love—a denim high waist  shorts and midriff! Jazz it up with a pair of thigh high socks for  a sexier look!;) Keep your plaid button-down tied around your waist just in case it gets cold. This trick gives your outfit a cool '90s vibe as well! You'll surely standout if you'll add Beanie's, and round-frame sunnies.

Be brave to express your self in fashion. Wear what you want to wear and don't be afraid what people might say. It can be really hard to swallow all the “noise” around you.

Remember this: You're a trendsetter, not a trend follower. Be the person who will change fashion forever.

"I am a flawed person. A  clear blue sky with many crows,a starry night with clouds. A shooting star that's not long and fades, a fish against the flow. I have many shortcomings and definitely imperfect. But I'm sure about one thing :I don't fit into any stereotypes. And I like myself that way. "  -Jean

Dark side

Every man has a "dark side"and this is the absolute truth. Whether we like to admit it or not, we all have one. Even the sweetest, nicest person has the strange moment when they don't feel so sweet and nice. There are times that you deny your dark shadow. But do you know that it doesn't do any good? You just run away from it but you never ended it. Instead of denying, face and acknowledge it. Acknowledging your dark side will give you an amazing opportunity to learn more about yourself. Embracing your dark side and realizing it, fill the gaps in your life.

Fashion is a form of self-expression. It is a visual form of my personality, of my thoughts and feelings. I use it to bring out the light and dark side from within me.

-------------
There's no escaping the black and white trend! You can channel your inner gothic chic by sporting your black and white ensemble with a floppy hat and black boots! Add a spunk by wearing over-sized, circular-frame sunnies.

It's a great privilege for me to be surrounded by people endowed with great talents. Thank you Thor&Ysvet. I died with the outcome. True indeed that behind every great picture is a great photographer and behind every great ensemble is a great stylist. More to come! haha :)
